The Quebec District Council of the Directors Guild of Canada (QDC) represents 240 Directors, Assistant Directors, Production Managers, Production Designers, Art Directors, Assistant Art Directors, Set Designers, Draftsmen, Production Accountants and their Assistants working in the Quebec film and television industry. The Commission de reconnaissance des associations d’artistes et des associations de producteurs has recognized the QDC as the exclusive representative of Production Designers and Art Directors working in English and French in the province of Quebec. The QDC has been recognized by the same commission in 1996 as the sole representative of Directors working in English in Quebec.

District Councils are part of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC), a national professional organization representing more than 3200 members drawn from 48 different craft and occupational categories covering all areas of directing, production, editing and design of film and television programming in Canada. Members of the DGC are affiliated with the District Council of their residence and are all members of the national organization.
